Oh, Canada! Karter and Kylea Sweep Midweek Mains At Little Middleton, Oshweken

CONCORD, N.C. -- Karter and Kylea Beattie took quite a trip north of the border to race last week.

The brother-sister duo combined to win four Outlaw Kart features in two nights in Ontario, with each going two for two before Karter added a weekend of sprint car racing to the schedule.

The trip began Tuesday at Little Middleton Speedway, where both Beatties had to come from the back.

"Katfish" Karter started last in the Open feature and raced his way all the way to the front to pick up the win.

Kylea did the same thing in Box, starting at the rear and working her way through the field for a victory of her own.

One night later, the group moved on to Ohsweken Speedway for the Northern Kart Nationals.

Different track. Same result.

Karter won the Open feature again, while Kylea lived up to her "Speedy" nickname as she made it two straight nights in victory lane with another Box Stock win.

Four races between the two of them. Four wins.

Kyle and the kids stayed in Canada for the Northern Sprint Car Nationals weekend, where Karter also competed with the Action Sprint Tour, making his debut in a 602 Crate Sprint Car.

He finished second in the B Main to advance, but problems in the main event ended his night early and left him credited with a 30th-place finish after an impressive adaptation to the car.

While part of the KBR/SKE operation was racing in Canada, Adam Welch and the rest of the "family" were back home overseeing the group competing at Millbridge Speedway.

Tuesday night, Trace Latour finished 11th in the Beginner Box Stock feature.

New England racer Jace Pastore also recorded an 11th-place finish in the Jr. Wing main event.

The Millbridge schedule continued Wednesday.

Latour improved to eighth in the Jr. Sprint feature, while Emily Dietrich turned in the strongest finish of the night for the group with a fourth-place result in Restricted Micro.

Cole Robie finished 12th in Winged Micro, with Pastore coming home 15th.

Saturday brought another full night of racing for the KBR/SKE group.

Latour continued to move forward over the course of the week and finished sixth in Beginner Box Stock.

Rylan Hall finished 12th in Box Stock, while Cole Sculthorpe added another podium to his late-season run with a second-place finish in the Intermediate feature.

In Winged Micro, "Handsome" Harry Stallard finished 10th, and Pastore crossed the line 11th.

It made for another busy week for KBR/SKE, with four wins in Canada, a sprint car appearance for Karter and three nights of racing back home at Millbridge.

The KBR/SKE family of racers will be back in action at Millbridge Speedway Tuesday, Sept. 29, Wednesday, Sept. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 3.
