SALISBURY, N.C. -- Kyle Beattie Racing / SKE Chassis scored four wins and a second in the Winter Series opener on a chilly Saturday afternoon at Millbridge Speedway. "Lightning" London McKenzie, Rocco Zipadelli, Coco Halpain, and Colt Bailey all won their main events, and Leo Zipadelli finished second in Cadet to add a fifth podium for the day. 

McKenzie's win was impressive for many reasons.  First, he was debuting a brand new chassis. Second, he was running with the Wing on top, which was not his normal fare. Third, he swept the day, being fastest in practice, winning his hea,t and then half-tracked the field in the feature.  It was perhaps McKenzie's finest performance ever on the dirt.

McKenzie's teammate, "Handsome" Harry Stallard, was running well inside the top five in Winged Micro until mechanical problems forced him out.  He finished sixteenth. 

Bailey's win in R-Micro was also impressive, as it was his first-ever win in a Micro Sprint.  He led every lap, putting on a flawless performance, to take home the checkered flag. Emily Dietrich finished fifth in that feature to give KBR/SKE two top fives.  

Beginner Box Stock is the class that Coco Halpain won on Saturday, battling all the way to the wire.  Halpain has improved steadily throughout the season, and this winter series could be the catalyst for a breakout year for the youngster.  Trace Latour has also improved each week, and he ultimately finished in a fine fifth place.  Kruze Horseman had a nice run to finish eighth.

The Zipadelli Brothers, sons of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Crew Chief Scott Zipadelli, each had a fine day.  Rocco Zipadelli got the win in Box Stock (with teammates Ethan Halpain tenth and Rylan Hall twelfth, respectively), and finished fifth in Jr. Wing.   Little brother Leo Zipadelli drove a strong race to finish second in the Cadet Class (teammate Kegan Latour was sixth).

Brayden Mussetter continued to get coal in his stocking from Lady Luck, as he was running well, only to have a disappointing 14th-place finish in Jr. Wing.  Ethan Halpain was scheduled to start that event, but was unable to do so. 

The next event at Millbridge will be Saturday, December 20th, with on-track action starting at 1 pm Eastern.  DirtVision will once again cover all the live action from start to finish.  Then, just after Christmas, the team will load up and head Southwest to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the Tulsa Showdown, the world's largest Micro-Sprint event.  Live broadcast of the entire week will be on FloRacing.com.
