SALISBURY, N.C. -- Millbridge Speedway hosted the POWRi Extreme Midget Series for two nights of racing, and the JR Nation Winged Micros joined that division.  Payton Johnson led KBR/SKE's  Winged Micro contingent with a third and a fourth in A-Main competition, continuing his remarkable consistency of top-five finishes at Millbridge this season. 

On Monday, Nathan Meendering, Skylar Gee, and Owin Halpain all used the B-Mains to transfer to the A-main.  Johnson finished third behind Carson Allen and Aidan Turner to score his first of two podiums on the week.  The No. 48 of Coen McDaniel had a fifth-place finish, with Meendering coming from deep in the pack to finish eighth.  Skylar Gee, in his first trip from the West Coast to compete at Millbridge, finished 13th, with Hapain 15th, Tanner Tucker 18th, and "Katfish" Karter Beattie finishing 21st after being taken out in an early incident that damaged the wing on his No. 7.  

Each day was a separate show.  On Tuesday, Gee and Beattie each finished second in their respective B-Mains to earn the right to start the A-Main, with Meendering and Tucker qualifying directly into the A-Main.  

Johnson was again the best of the KBR/SKE family of racers, as he held on tight for a fourth-place run.  Meendering copped a sixth-place for his efforts.  Tucker finished ninth.  Both Beattie and Gee ran into problems and finished 18th and 21st; those results are not indicative of their speed or potential, as both drivers were left wondering what might have been.  Beattie had passed several cars before an incident put him out.  

The KBR/SKE Wednesday night crew returns to Millbridge tonight, October 12th, for Championship Night.  Action on the track begins at 6:15 PM.  Come out and join us, or watch us live on DirtVision.com.
